INNER ROOM

Matthew 6:6 When you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Die meaning of the inner room: (tame ion in Greek)

A secret place where your most prized possession is kept

A safety deposit box; A place with controlled access

The main bedroom; A place where a relationship of love takes place

The inner room is a special place:

People often have special places where they meet their friends, like coffee shops, restaurants and secrets places. Children have got their own special and secret places in the garden and school were they meet their friends to play and have conversations. A child of God must also have a special place where he can have a close relationship with his Maker and Redeemer, where it is a private matter between two. Firstly, the focus most completely be on God. It is all about Him. He must be worshiped and praised. Secondly, it is about your relationship with Him and the One you love. It is right here where you can take off your shoes and kneel before Him, because it will be holy ground. Thirdly, it goes about your needs and expectations from Him. There are many ways and places to say prayers, like in the church, before a meal, together as family, etc. There is nothing that can replace a steadfast and continuously conversation with the Father in a private place likes the inner room in your home.

Communicate your heart:

The Father alone knows what goes on in this secret and hidden world. He knows what goes on in the spiritual and invisible atmosphere. The King, eternal, immortal, invisible God,              1 Timothy 1:17, He knows everything, the maker of heaven, earth and all human beings. How do you approach someone who already knows everything? Who knows the conversation beforehand? Answer: Simply share your heart; It is all about relationship and love. It is all about the submission of your will to God’s will. It is in the heart of man where all the filthiness and sin comes from. Let Him clean your heart with the blood of the Lamb, and get the insurance that you belong to Him.

Inner room is love and victory ground:

Psalm 23:5. In your inner room God will prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies. He will anoint your head with oil, and your cup will run over. You can walk out of your room, refreshed, focused, forgiven, anointed and look the busy world out there in the face, and can overcome every obstacle and situation in Jesus name. If it is sickness, operation, death or confusion, in your inner room you have a deposit box, a jewel box and in it are the most wonderful and costly pearl, his name is Jesus. If you honour Him, give Him time, your life and your love, He will never let you down. God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19.

John 3:30. He must increase, but I must decrease. 1 Corinthians 15:3.1 I die daily. In the inner room, deny yourself, crucify the flesh desires, take up your cross, and follow Jesus.

Your inner room is your garden place where you can walk and talk with God, just like Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden. What they have lost there, you can gain back with your relationship in prayer with the almighty God and be fully restored physically and spiritually.

PRAYER OF WORSHIP

Worship in Hebrew means to fall down (Sjaga).

Worship in prayer is the first step in the prayer session where God is worshiped as Creator of heaven and earth, and where your love is offered to Him.

The Triune God alone must be worshiped:

Matthew 4:10. You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve. It is for God an abomination when idols are worshiped. Deuteronomy 11:16, 27:15. 1 Corinthians 10:7.

The Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6:9 says:

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Isaiah 45:21b. There is no other God besides Me, a just God and a Savior; there is none besides me.

Worship the Father through Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is the Mediator of the New Testament. Hebrews 9:15. Jesus is the only Mediator between God and His people. 1 Timothy 2:5. I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6. Jesus entered with His own blood the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. Hebrews 9:12. Jesus is now seated on the right hand of the Father and blessing and honor and glory and power to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever! Revelation 5:13. I and My Father are one. John 10:3.

Worship in spirit and truth:   (True worshipers)

John 4:23. But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

Spirit worshipers:  To worship the Lord with a holy heart and pure life and not only with your mouth. 2 Corinthians 7:1. Beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

Truth worshipers: The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.  Romans 8:16. The word of God is the truth. If we do exactly what the word told us to do, and we are led by His Holy Spirit and obedient to God, we are true worshipers.

Purpose of worship:

Magnify the Lord our God and His Son Jesus Christ. Revelation 4:10. Thou art worthy, oh Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. 1 Peter 2:9. You are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness.

Romans 12:1. Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God. In your prayer life and way of living; give continuously praises to the Lord our God.

Ways to worship:

Worship is to bow down, to kneel with your face to the ground.

Psalm 95:6. Let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our maker.

Joshua 5:14. Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship.

Isaiah 45:23. I have sworn by Myself; that to Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath.

Rather bow before the Lord God now, than one day when you are forced to do so.

SPARK IN WORSHIP

We are created for God’s pleasure:

Revelation 4:10-11. The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: “You are worthy, o Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for you created all things, and by your will they exist and were created.”

We are created for God’s pleasure. Birds can sing, trees bear fruit, clouds give rain, but it is only a human being who was dirty and lost in sin, that are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Spirit that can say; “my Lord and my God.”

John 20:27-28. Jesus said to Thomas; “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands, and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God.”

Jesus wants intimacy, friendship and fellowship with His believers and close relationship with them, to reveal Himself and His power to them. The spark and process of worship Jesus is a connection between Him and us. Jesus heart and our hearts becomes one when we worship in spirit and truth. In worshipping, God becomes God through us and the way we worship is the greatest testimony of Himself in us. Worship is our gift back to Him.

Revelation 4:10-11. The twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne.

The spark in worship is the quickest wat to get out of a tired, miserable, negative and despair full spirit. Worship makes an appeal on our will to break out, call out and rise above our feelings, emotions, thoughts and to free ourselves out of an atmosphere of unbelieve and discouragement. Worship is a power to escape out of our limitations and move into God’s presence and space. Worship is to overcome our fleshly feelings and desires and to press, push and throng into His dimensions. God finds in us what He is looking for, that is to love and worship Him.

Song of Solomon 1:4.

Draw me away! We will run after you. The king has brought me into his chambers. We will be glad and rejoice in you.

The Song of Solomon is a love song and abounding in metaphors and oriental imagery. Allegorically, it pictures Israel as God’s betrothed bride (Hosea 2:19-20) and the church as the bride of Christ. As human finds its highest fulfilment in the love of man and woman, so spiritual life finds its highest fulfilment in the love of God for His people and Christ for His church.

Worship perfumes, attracts, is magnetic and radiate God’s presence. Worship influence our hearts, mind, tongue, ears, eyes, hands, feet, arms and take hold of our whole being. Worship is not about something but about Someone.

Revelation 5:13. Every creature which is in heaven and on earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying; “Blessing and honour and glory and power be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever and ever.”

Worship seeks the deep treasures of God:

1 Corinthians 2:9-10. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

John 4:23. The hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

It is the Holy Spirit that dwells in our spirit. If we worship the Father in spirit, the Holy Spirit helps us to seek the deeper treasures of God.

Deep inside the earth there are great forces at work, like heat, gas and water that comes together and the result is volcanoes that burst out and bring forth fire, ash and lava. Outside the earth in nature, heat bring wind, wind bring clouds, clouds bring rain, thunder and lightning and the rain bring fruitfulness on earth.

There is a Spirit in prayer. The only heat that will make the wind of God’s Spirit blow, is the heat of prayer. James 5:16. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avail much.

Ephesians 3:18-19. May we be able to comprehend what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Job 11:7-8. Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than heaven.

Pray into the depths of God’s treasures, with the power of the Holy Spirit and based with real faith on the promises of God in the name of Jesus Christ, that comes out of a burning heart for God and over the lips of a person completely dedicated to the Lord of heaven and earth, is due to be answered with signs and wonders and breakthroughs.

Worship is the Master Key to open doors:

Zechariah 4:6-7. Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Who are you, o great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plan!

John 9:31. We know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.

We cannot be a child of God, live His kind of life, grow in faith without understanding the momentum, process, strategy and concept of true worship. The spark, flame and fire of worship must influence our whole life, soul, mind and body.

Worship is the kind of prayer that forms the basis of all other prayers and overshadow it and is the master key to open doors to remove all kinds of problems, mountains, obstacles, sicknesses and hindrances in our lives.

Worship is the master key to open doors:

·        To the entrepreneur for innovation, ideas and vision

·        To the physician to discern and diagnose

·        To the Politian for wisdom and governing

·        To the Pastor for anointing

·        To the husband to love his wife and family

Whether we write lyrics, do crafting or art, preaching, working, designing, franchising, eating, drinking, or whatever kind of work we are doing, worship is the key. Worship must become a lifestyle.

1 Corinthians 10:31. Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Be a worshipper:

Hebrews 13:14-15. For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. Therefore, by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

Prayer is:

Worshiping, praising, singing, proclaiming, requesting, interceding, spiritual warfare and thanksgiving.

Prayer starts always with worshiping and praising and acknowledges the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This is our sacrifice unto God. Praise and worship open the doors to the next level. Proclaiming the kingdom of God in our own lives and in heaven and on earth. Interceding for homes, families, friends, towns and country. Spiritual warfare and exposing the unfruitful works of the darkness by the manifestation of the light. Close with thanksgiving and believing.

Prayer must always start with worshiping and be the leading force because it is the mother of all prayer. It is the alighting factor to prayer and gives birth to visions, hope, faith and power. Worship does not seek answers, but it is the answer and is continually busy with the Answer. Worship forms the major role in our praying in the Spirit.

PRAYER OF PRAISE

Prayer can start with worship and praise. It can also be intertwined. David (in the Psalms) is a wonderful example how the Lord God must be praised. Psalm 150:1-2. Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary. Praise Him in His mighty firmament! Praise Him for His mighty acts. Praise Him according to His excellent greatness!

Praise God in His sanctuary:

See God in His sanctuary and praise Him according. Read Ezekiel’s vision of God in chapter one,  John vision of God in Revelation 4:2-11 and Jesus in Revelation 1:12-18. Jesus clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire. His feet were like fine brass, and His voice as the sound of many waters. Psalm 100:4. Enter His courts with praise.

Praise Him in His mighty firmament:

Psalm 8:3. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained.

Amos 5:8. He made the Pleiades and Orion; He turns the shadow of death into morning and makes the day dark as night. He calls for the waters of the sea and pours them on the face of the earth. The Lord is His name.

Psalm 14.8. Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise Him in the heights! Praise Him, all His angels; praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon, praise Him, all you stars, praise Him you heavens and waters above the heavens. Praise the Lord from the earth, you great sea creatures and all the depths, fire and hail, snow and clouds, stormy wind, mountains and hills, fruitful trees and all cedars, beasts and cattle, creeping things and flying fowls, kings of the earth and all people, princes and all judges, both men and maidens, old men and children. Let them praise the name of the Lord.

Praise Him for His mighty acts:

Psalm 103:2. Bless the Lord, o my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities, who healed all your diseases, redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. Acts 2:11. The disciples were speaking about the wonderful works of God. His mighty deeds, benefits and wonderful works are His salvation and healing through Jesus Christ His Son who He raised from the dead. He had forgiven us, take our sins upon Him and thrown it in the depths of the sea. He called us His children.

John 1:12. We are His chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, to proclaim the praises of Him. 1 Peter 2:9. We are His heirs. Ephesians 3:6.

Praise Him according to His excellent greatness:

His excellent greatness is His fullness. That is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is nothing more excellent than this. Colossians 1:19. It pleases the Father that in Jesus Christ all the fullness should dwell and in John 1:33 it is Jesus who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

When we praise God in His fullness, is it through Jesus Christ with the power of the Holy Spirit.

And we are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power. Colossians 2:9-10.

His fullness is the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit. 2 Corinthians 13:14.

Praise God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. Praise Him to His excellent greatness!
