Oven - Heart

HEART: SPIRIT, SOUL AND BODY

Malachi 3:3. He will sit as a refiner and a purifier of silver; He will purify you and purge you as gold and silver that you may offer to the Lord, an offering of righteousness.

The oven is the heart and spirit of the person.  Your heart and life must be on fire for the Lord. Prayers must be effective, purposeful and Word of God bound to make a difference in your own life and people around you. Just like an oven set out warmth and heat, a dedicated prayer life must give off the warmth and heat of the Holy Spirit through your life to others.

Revelation 3:15-18.  I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. Because you are lukewarm, I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich. An on-going prayer life based on a relationship with Jesus, and refined in the fire of the Holy Spirit, is like buying gold from God. It makes you spiritually rich. Luke 24:32. Did not our heart burn within us while Jesus talked with us on the road? Communication and relationship with God makes every praying heart and life a burning vessel.

Psalm 51:10. Create in me a clean heart, o God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
When the Word of God refers to the heart of man in the scriptures, it normally meant the spirit. In other parts of the Bible it also refers to the body and soul. We must understand that when God wants the heart to be clean, holy and sanctified, it always means the total man. When the emphasis is only on one part, then the Lord wants to deal with that part of the human being.

The heart of mankind:
Evil: Mark 7:21-23. Out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornication, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.
Good: Ephesians 3:16-17. That you may be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man (spirit) that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in love.

Body, Soul and spirit:
Within the body of man is his soul and spirit. This is his heart. All three can do evil or good things. In the beginning God created man like Him - perfect. But his heart was defiled by sin and we all have the sin nature. But through the blood of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, prayer and the Word, we can be healed, renewed and restored to the image of His perfect Son Jesus Christ.

God want our hearts, body, soul and spirit to be completely yielded to Him and on fire. An oven sets out warmth and odour. Our heart and life must set out the fragrance and aroma of Jesus unto God.               2 Corinthians 2:15.

Body:

The part or house in which the soul and spirit dwell.
1 Corinthians 6:19. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God.        Romans 12:1. We must present our body to Jesus as a living, holy and acceptable offer unto God.

Soul:

The part which feels: Emotions, passions, desires and appetites.
Colossians 3: 5-9. Put to death your members which are on earth; fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, covetousness, idolatry, anger, malice, blasphemy, filthy language and lying.
Use your emotions to praise God and let your eyes be washed by tears of forgiveness. Your passion must be to spend enough time with the Lord in privacy and quietness. Your desires and appetite must be to serve the Lord, your household and the world in need.

Spirit:

The part which knows: Intellect, will, mind and all mental faculties.
Galatians 4:6. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts. Romans 12:11. Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.

In our spirit is where the Spirit of God is. This flame of His Spirit can burn low, half way, in full or burn not at all. If our spirit is filled by the Spirit of God, it will flow to the rest, our soul and body, and our hearts will be not cold or lukewarm, but on fire for God. This is what happened on the day of Pentecost.
Your intellect, mind and mental faculties can be used by God to make a successful career but also to be used in favor of God’s kingdom. Exodus 31:2-5.

Matthew 5:8. Blessed are the pure in heart. 1 Thessalonians 5:23. May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Prayer brings this all together. Prayer builds a relationship with Christ and helps to transformed us into the same image of Christ from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of God. 2 Corinthians 3:18.
